People, Communication, and Technology

Linard is built by three founders. One spent thirty years in high-stakes conversations, on the bank's side of the table. Two have spent their careers building software people depend on.

    Flurin Schmid

    CBO, co-founder

Chairman of the Board · MBA HSG, CIWM

Linard is Flurin's idea. He spent thirty years in Swiss banking, from client advisory at UBS and ZKB into senior management. There he built the bank's strengths-based performance training. Together with the University of St. Gallen and the University of Zurich, he developed the method further, established it widely within ZKB and refined it in hundreds of leadership, sales and negotiation programs. Since 2025 he has been carrying it into other industries. One thing has become clear: industries change, the mechanics of effective communication do not.

What he could once pass on to a few, Linard makes accessible to everyone in an organization.

    Samuel Burri

    CEO, co-founder

    Dr. sc. ETH Zurich

Samuel led engineering at DFINITY, a scale-up that combined a Silicon Valley growth mindset with deep-tech engineering out of Zurich. Before that he spent eight years at Schindler, running large software projects across multiple sites and countries. Throughout his career, one thing held: how people communicate with each other decides whether an organization performs. That is why he is building Linard.

    Manu Drijvers

    CTO, co-founder

    Dr. sc. ETH Zurich

Manu did his doctoral research in cryptography at IBM Research Zurich and ETH Zurich. Then he spent eight years at DFINITY, where he designed and built the cryptographic core of its public network. It secures digital assets worth billions of dollars. Later he led a large part of DFINITY's engineering organization as Director of Engineering. He and Samuel worked side by side for many years, which is the technical partnership Linard is built on.
